Every year Clarke DDA donates a large amount of money to a charity that benefits children. At least 80% of the donation must directly benefit the children and cannot be used for administrative cost, advertising, etc. Each year a different branch is selected and this year the Indianapolis branch was chosen to give a donation to the charity of their choice.
The Indianapolis associates decided to donate the money to the Spina Bifida Association of Central Indiana. Gus Mosley, an employee of Clarke DDA has a daughter named Linsie who has Spina Bifida and the Indianapolis branch has a special attachment to the association that has given Gus' little girl so much help.
Spina Bifida is the number one physically handicapping birth defect in the United States. It can range from mild to severe and affects the spinal cord and central nervous system. There is no known cure at this time. The Spina Bifida Association of Central Indiana is completely comprised of volunteers and is part of the national organization. The local chapter benefits it's members by financing: medical assistance, camp scholarships, college scholarships, and fees to attend the Spina Bifida National Conference.
The contribution donated this year will be used for specially designed bicycles, so the children will be mobile and having fun. The presentation of the check was held on June 29th and was attended by most of the branch along with Mark Andreae, Renee Linday (Outreach Coordinator) and daughters, Lauren & Olivia, Gus Mosley and his daughter Linsie, Holly Oman (VP of Central Indy SPA) and son, Nicholas. We were proud to have each guest attend and excited to have the chance to help the children of Indianapolis.

News Release from Spina Bifida Association of Central Indiana
The Spina Bifida Association of Central Indiana has had the pleasure of receiving a charitable donation from Clarke Detroit Diesel-Allison. Clarke Detroit Diesel Allison is located on the south side of Indianapolis. Each year, the Cincinnati based company chooses a local charity to receive a donation. One of our members, Gus Mosley, has worked at Clarke DD-A for over 25 years. Gus and his wife Becky have a 13 year old daughter, Linsie, with Spina Bifida.
On June 29, 2000, Gus and Linsie Mosley, Hollie Oman (VP of SBACI) and her son Nicholas, and Renee Lindsay (Outreach for SBACI) and her daughters Lauren & Olivia were present to receive the donation from Eric Barker and Mark Andreae, CEO of Clarke DD-A.
Many, many thanks go out to Clarke DD-A for this generous donation. We would also like to thank the Mosley family for all their help in receiving this donation.
