2011 - Erin's House for Grieving Children

After reviewing multiple charities in the Fort Wayne area, Clarke Power Services, Inc. of Fort Wayne chose Erin's House for Grieving Children for the 2011 charitable contribution. Erin's House is an organization that was founded by a family who lost their little girl who was going on six to an unknown cause. Erin's sudden death caused a hole in the lives of her family and friends.

Erin's parents had their friends and family to help support them in this time of grief, however, Erin's siblings had a harder time finding that type of support.

Erin's parents recognized this and in 1993 Erin's House for Grieving Children was born. Erin's house has been going strong for more than 18 years. This location provides a safe environment for children to process and work through their grief. The children that attend are placed with children of their own age helping to make it a comfortable environment. Erin's House is free to any child that needs a place to go and grieve. The child determines how long they need to come and participate. Erin's house is a truly amazing place.
