This four day course covers the following 2007 product updates: DDC Series 60, MBE 900, MBE 4000, DDEC VI, the Aftertreatment System, & Diagnostics.
Pre-Requisites: In order to take this course you must be expert certified in one of the three EPA 04 Engines.

Series 60 Update
- Understand the reasons for changes in the fuel and the effects of not using the proper fuel in the aftertreatment system (MBE 900, MBE 4000)
- Understand the flow of the fuel system
- Understand the fuel passage changes within the cylinder head.
- Identify the functions of the E3 injector
- Understand the functionality of the second solenoid
- Identify changes in the coolant flow
- Understand the functionality of the crankcase breather
- Identify the new 797B Jake brake, dual solenoids, electrical leads, and injector harness assembly with tray

DDEC VI
- Identify DDEC VI changes
- Understand the function of the Amber Warning Lamp (AWL)
- Understand the function of the Red Stop Lamp (RSL)
- Understand the function of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration lamp
- Understand the function of the High Exhaust System Temperature (HEST) lamp
- Understand the function of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)

- Identify fuel flow changes

- Understand the functionality of the brake gate
- Identify component changes in the cooling system
Diagnostics
- Understand the correct procedures to diagnose and troubleshoot potential problems
- Understand the proper tools to use when diagnosing a concern
- Be able to perform diagnostic procedures in a logical step by step manner

Aftertreatment System
- Understand the operation and function of the aftertreatment system
- Understand the function of the DPF regeneration lamp
- Identify the material within the aftertreatment substrate
- Identify aftertreatment failure modes
- Understand the functionality of the doser block assembly, identifying the sensors and valves
- Understand the functionality and diagnostic procedures of the intake throttle valve and exhaust flap
- Properly diagnose and troubleshoot concerns relating to the aftertreatment system
- Understand and perform the adjustment of the Series 60 turbo actuator
