Prerequisites: Techs must successfully complete the following prior to starting the 3000 4000 Overhaul Course:

  • 3000 & 4000 Product Families Maintenance Technician Web-Based Training
  • 3000 & 4000 Product Families Maintenance Technician ILT
  • 3000 & 4000 Product Families Overhaul Technician Web-Based Training
Course Objectives Include:
  • Access and use publications and special tools necessary for overhauling Allison 3000 & 4000 Product Families Transmissions
  • Successfully disassemble the transmission
  • Perform inspections and measurements and make appropriate determination as to individual component condition
  • Use the Parts Catalog to identify appropriate part numbers for components being replaced
  • Successfully assemble the transmission including performing necessary measurements
